The engineered flexible diaphragm of the FKM or EPDM is sandwiched between the molded inert body and the sealing coil. The diaphragm securely isolates the medium from the solenoid element and provides rugged and durable performance over millions of cycles. The design generates a great deal of force to seal the valve and incorporates sealing coils to withstand wet conditions.
